Commission-free online ordering for restaurants

QUICK ANSWER

Commission-free online ordering means guests order on your own page and you don't pay a percentage of each order to a marketplace. Someone still pays for card processing and software. With Forkrado Pro you pay $149 a month, guests pay a 5% service fee shown at checkout, and the restaurant pays no per-order fee.

What does commission-free really mean?

It means the platform doesn't take a percentage of your sales. It doesn't mean ordering is free. Card processing and software cost money, so look for who pays: the restaurant through a monthly fee, the guest through a service fee, or both. Honest providers show all three numbers.

Example: 150 delivery orders a month

At an average order of $32 and a 25% commission, 150 app delivery orders cost about $1,200 a month in commission. Moving those orders to your own page on Forkrado Pro costs $149 a month, so you keep about $1,050 a month, or roughly $12,600 a year. This leaves out the cost of drivers for your own delivery and assumes the same menu prices on both channels.

Do you lose new customers by leaving the apps?

You don't have to leave. Many restaurants keep the apps for discovery and move regulars to their own page, where they keep the guest's contact details and pay no commission. Pickup is the easiest place to start.
